FUNDRAISING FOR COMMUNITY PROJECTS AND MUTUAL AID
From Artist, Jacob Johns, "I do alot of fundraisers for projects that revolve around social and environmental justice. A group of us, as environmentalists, last year worked on getting a street name changed locally in Spokane, Washington underneath the flag of arm in arm. Once we were successful we convinced the city to give us the large metal signs and we have formed a team of fabricators and are currently searching for local tribal artists to join the team and develop a culturally appropriate design. We want to pay the artists for their time and have decided on a fundraiser where 100 percent of the profits will go towards projects until we meet our goal. Then, when we have profits, they will be decided on by the collective how to best redistribute the funds back into society. With focus on developing environmental defense."
